Opening times

The Carrières des Lumières are open every day, including public holidays.
The programme during the day may vary depending on dates. Please look at the boards below.

January, November, December: 10am-6pm
February and March: 9.30am-6pm
April, May, June, September, October: 9.30am-7pm
July and August: 9am-7.30pm 
On these periods, last admission 1 hour before the Carrières closes. 

Changing of schedules on 25 December and 1 January: 11am-6pm

The book and gift shop is open during the Carrières’ opening hours.

The Café des Carrières is open everyday:
March, November, December: 10am to 5.30pm
April, May, June, September, October: 10am to 6pm
July, August: 10am to 6.30pm

The Baux-de-Provence Pass only gives access to the exhibitions "From Vermeer to Van Gogh, The Dutch Masters" and "Mondrian, the Architect of colour".

Buy a ticket

- Tickets sold online act as a pass at the Carrières. 
- For your comfort of visit, we invite you to choose a time slot. Visiting time is free. The screening and the time slot chosen when you book online are for your visit to the Carrières de Lumières. You then have 48 hours to visit the Château des Baux-de-Provence.
- Please note: tickets bought online cannot under any circumstances be collected from the Carrières. They must be printed or shown on mobile phone.
- Please note: tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
- Tickets are also on sale on FNAC website, our partner’s.
- Payment methods accepted on-site at the Carrières ticket office: cash, French bank cards, bank cards (Visa, Eurocard-Mastercard), specific vouchers (holiday vouchers, culture vouchers, etc.).

The Carrières des Lumières is located 800 m from the Château des Baux-de-Provence, 15 km north-east of Arles and 30 km south of Avignon.

By road : motorway A7 (exit Avignon), A9 (Nîmes) and A54 (Baux-de-Provence).
Please pay attention to :
- There is a fee for municipal car parks closed to the Carrieres. You can pay or extend your parking with the Presto Park app.
- The Carrières are less than 10 minutes walk from the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, so you can easily get there if you are parked near the village.

By train : Aix-en-Provence and Avignon TGV stations.

By plane : Marseille and Avignon airports.

Please note

The Carrières des Lumières is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs.

We would like to inform you that school groups regularly visit the Carrières des Lumières.

Please note that the Carrières can be a little chilly (14° to 16° in the venue).

Pets are not allowed on the site.
